How ThinkCollab collects, uses and protects your information, and the choices you have about it.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

Thinkster Creativity Nexus LLP (“ThinkCollab”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates ThinkCollab, a creator collaboration marketplace available at thinkcollab.in. Thinkster Creativity Nexus LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India (LLPIN ACE-8281) with its registered office at Flat No. F502 SNO 340/1, 2, Space Elena Patil Nag, Bavdhan, Haveli, Pune – 411021, Maharashtra, India.

We are the data fiduciary for the personal information described in this policy — we decide why and how it is processed.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers personal information we process when you visit our website, create an account, build a creator listing, run campaigns, exchange messages, sign contracts or make payments through ThinkCollab — whether you use it as a creator, a brand, an agency or a member of one of their teams.

It also covers information we receive from third-party platforms you choose to connect, including Instagram accounts connected through Meta platforms, described in section 4.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, optional phone number and profile photo, and your sign-in credentials. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in plain text.
  • Social sign-in — where we offer it, choosing to continue with Google, Apple or LinkedIn passes us the name, email address and profile picture held by that provider, so we can create or find your account. We receive nothing else from them, and we never post on your behalf.
  • Organisation details — the name and type of the workspace you create or join (brand, creator or agency), your role in it, and members you invite.
  • Creator listing content — the profile, bio, portfolio items, packages, pricing and categories a creator chooses to publish. Published listings are public by design: that is what a marketplace listing is for.
  • Collaboration records — briefs, collaboration requests, messages, negotiated terms, contracts and reviews created while using the platform.
  • Billing records — invoices and payment records for work booked through the platform. Card and bank details are collected by our payment providers, not stored by us.

Information collected automatically

  • Essential cookies — session cookies that keep you signed in, described in our Cookie Policy. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on ThinkCollab.
  • Security and audit logs — records of significant account actions (such as sign-ins, settings changes and deletions) kept to protect accounts and to meet legal obligations.

Information from connected platforms

If you connect a social account, we receive the platform data described in section 4. If you enter metrics manually or import them from a file, we record them as manually provided — they are labelled by source and are not presented as verified platform data.

4. Instagram and Meta platform data

Creators can connect an Instagram professional account so that their listing shows real audience metrics. When you authorise a connection, we access the following through Meta’s APIs:

  • your Instagram username, account id and profile picture;
  • follower count and media count;
  • account-level insights such as engagement, reach and audience breakdowns, where your account makes them available.

Why: to display accurate, up-to-date metrics on your creator listing, to power search and matching on the marketplace, and to help verify that a listing belongs to the account it claims.

How it is protected: the access token you authorise is encrypted before it is stored, with a key held outside the database. The token is never displayed, never shared and never readable by other users.

What we do not do: we do not post to your account, send messages from it, access your direct messages or your followers’ personal data, and we do not sell Instagram data to anyone.

Your control: you can disconnect an Instagram account at any time from your ThinkCollab dashboard, which deletes the stored access token. You can also revoke ThinkCollab’s access from your Instagram or Facebook account settings. See our Data Deletion Instructions for the full process, including deleting your account entirely.

Instagram is a product of Meta Platforms, Inc. ThinkCollab is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Meta.

5. How we use information

  • to provide the marketplace: listings, discovery, saving, comparison and search;
  • to run collaborations: requests, messaging, negotiation, contracts, invoicing and payments;
  • to display creator metrics from the sources described above, labelled by source;
  • to secure accounts, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • to send service notifications you can manage in your settings;
  • to comply with law, including tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

6. How information is shared

  • On the marketplace — a published creator listing, including its metrics, portfolio and pricing, is visible to visitors; collaboration content is shared with the other party to that collaboration and with your own workspace members according to their roles.
  • Service providers — we use infrastructure providers to host the platform and its database, and payment providers to process payments. They process data for us under their own contractual obligations, only to provide their service.
  • Legal requirements — we disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or the platform.
  • Business changes — if the business is reorganised or transferred, this policy continues to govern the transferred information.

7. Cookies

ThinkCollab uses only essential cookies — the session cookies that keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. The full list is in our Cookie Policy.

8. How long we keep information

  • While your account is active — we keep the information needed to provide the service.
  • When you delete your account — your name, photo, phone number and email address are erased immediately and your account is marked deleted. Remaining records are hard-deleted on a scheduled cycle within 90 days.
  • Records we must keep — invoices, contracts and audit records are retained for the periods required by law, without your erased personal details.
  • Instagram tokens — deleted when you disconnect the account or delete your ThinkCollab account.

9. How we protect information

  • all traffic to ThinkCollab is encrypted in transit over HTTPS;
  • social access tokens are encrypted at rest with keys held outside the database;
  • database access is governed by row-level security, so each workspace can only reach its own records;
  • significant account actions are recorded in an audit log;
  • two-factor authentication is available on every account.

No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as applicable law requires.

10. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as it applies, you can:

  • access and update your account and profile information in your settings;
  • delete your account yourself — see the Data Deletion Instructions;
  • disconnect a social account at any time;
  • manage the notifications we send you;
  • write to us at support@thinkcollab.in with any privacy question, request or grievance. We verify requests against the email address registered to the account before acting on them.

11. Children's privacy

ThinkCollab is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we notify account holders through the platform or by email. This document is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice.
